During a war, What goes First?

When there is a war, is there an order that our military goes. For example 1 st The Army. 2nd the marines, 3rd the Airforce and 4th Navy Seals. Or it doesn't matter

It depends on the war, its location and what units are available after previous deployments.

Usually a light force goes in first since they can be moved easier. This is the Marines, the 101st Airborne, the 82nd ABN, 25th ID, and 10th ID.

The next most deployable units are the new Striker Brigades.

The Heavy Division are last because it takes ships to get them there. Some can be sent to help the light forces if the incident is near pre-positioned equipment.

Usually the first light units can get there within 24-72 hours and some Stryker units.

The next group usually comes a few weeks later with some heavy units.

The next group is heavy after about 30 days.

The rest of the force is 60-90 days including heavy units.

If anything, the Navy is the first one in. We are the most mobile of the armed forces. 75% of the earth is coverd by water. Because of the Navy being deployed arount the world, there are very few trouble spots where we can't be in 2 - 3 days. We are also self contained. We don't need a base, or an airstrip. The current situation is one of the very few where the Navy didn't get there first, because of geography.
