It started in 325 A.D. during the counsel of Nicea, when the Romans made Christianity their official religion. During the Counsel of Nicea, the Romans incorporated pagan holidays into Christianity. The birthday of the Roman pagan goddess Saturn was on 25 December, it was a huge celebration among the Romans. They decided to continue with their pagan celebration under the name "Christmas" which itself was already a pagan observance. They introduce other pagan days such as Easter and other pagan observances into the religion.

The next significant event is when Pope Alexander directed Leonardo di Vinci to paint a picture of his second son. That picture was passed off as being Jesus. That was the first time that Christ was depicted as white, prior to that he was always depicted as black.

Racist icons continued to dominate Christianity from the 15th century until this present day.

The teachings were lost from time to time and during the 20th century, the tachings were forgotten. Obviously today's apparel reflects that. This religion has always been used as a way of establishing culture. It was never fully taught. I think emeror Constantine only wanted to be remembered for something when he proclaimed Christianity the sole religion of Rome. But who knows? I believe in some christian ideas.

Geez, where to begin?

1. Jesus never 'returned' (he doesn't exist anyway).

2. 'Saving' people doesn't result in good moral behavior.

3. Science has been made to serve religion, creating havoc.

4. Christianity: a convenient excuse for exploiting, hating and killing others.

5. Second Coming: a convenient excuse to destroy the environment.

Is that enough? There's more, but

It has failed in just about everyway possible. Two examples would be the wars that Christian America keeps starting with its invasions of other countries, and the American system of having two classes, one very rich and one very poor (and the medianuts in the middle).

Paul who never met jesus fabricated the entire gospel via recycled myths. the early church made sure it destroyed all the evidence as 'heretical" writings. virgin births? hahaha! Hesiod wrote the entire chronology of God/human couplings and the offspring produced 100 years before jesus was even born....people need to let go of the fairytales already. the great mother goddess 6000 bc was the holy mother long before mary.....why doesnt the church tell you this? why ruin the cash flow off ignorant morons.....

Wouldn't it make more sense to ask how the followers and ex-followers have failed Christ?

CHRISTIANITY HAS FAILED BECAUSE IT FOLLOWS WHAT A BOOK SAYS MORESO THAN WONDERING WHO GOD REALLY IS. PEOPLE ARE TRAINED TO QUOTE SCRIPTURE INSTEAD OF THINKING OUTSIDE OF THAT.....TO THINK DEEPLY AND THROUGH PATHWAYS OF ANOTHER REALITY IS GETTING TO THE TRUTH. THEY ALL THINK JESUS WAS GOD WHEN HE WAS JUST ANOTHER HUMAN BEING LIKE THE REST OF US. ONCE YOU SEARCH FOR GOD OUTSIDE OF THE BIBLE YOU LEARN THESE THINGS.
CHRISTIANITY BLOCKS PEOPLE FROM KNOWING WHAT THE BIGGER PICTURE IS....WHO THE TRUE GOD IS.

The followers have failed to observe the last prayer of Jesus.
"Father grant that they may be one, as you & I are one."
