When you accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior at what point did you know you were saved?
My husband said he was in the choir and he closed his eyes to pray and said Lord i am not worthy of the food presented before me today, i can not accept the humblness of the church for i have not given myself to you wholey - and as he is praying this his mother heard a verse in her head something like, be quiet and see my work be done, something like that.
Well my husband says he never felt himself move, he never heard a thing, but when he opened his eyes, he was knelt before the preacher who was a good 20 foot distance from the choir. He knew at that moment he was saved.
I accept Jesus, but have not felt that movement. There was an odd thing that happened when i was pregnant, faced losing my child and i prayed all day long for this thing to happen but i won't write it's too long. How do you know you are saved?

You know you are saved when you ask to be. Its hard somtimes to believe that its really that simple. Not everyone has a 'special moment' like what your husband experianced. You may want one, but thats not whats important. If you accepted Jesus then you are saved. Don't be disapointed waiting for a "feeling". Just believe that you are saved and move on and try to grow spiritually. Don't seek a sign that you are saved just know that you are. I think somtimes the simplicity of it makes us think we may be lacking and therefore we desire somthing stronger as proof just to be sure. Alot of people feel like you do, don't base your faith on feeling or 'an experiance' or emotion. Just let your faith be faith. Hope this helps

The Spirit of the Lord came suddenly upon me one night. I knew it was the Lord, I said, "Lord I am not worthy that you should be here right now." The Holy Spirit said, "because you say this, you are humble and because I have made you to be humble you are worthy of this, that I should be here now and dwell with you." I knew then, when he came in, I felt clean inside. I knew God came in and swept the dust of Sin from the floors of my heart. The deepest darkest corridors of my heart were made clean in an instant. Imediately following the next day, I woke up and was trying to describe to my wife what the Lord spoke to me and how I felt. I remember smiling alot and feeling such joy I had never experienced before.

I am still praising and worshipping the Lord for my Salvation and for filling my cup to overflowing. Thanks You Jesus! I love You Lord. Your Love is so prescious and your Joy is truly remarkable and unspeakable and your Peace truly does surpass all understanding. :)

I was 35 years old and went to Church because my 4 year old ask me to, I sat in the back pew, and somewhere in the service I felt the presence of God and knew that I should go forward,
I looked around, wondering what those others sitting on the back pew would thing of me, all of a sudden I didn't care, I stood up and the next thing I knew was I was at the altar, and that is when I knew without a doubt that God was real and that I was saved.

"If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved".

Being saved doesn't necessarily mean you're going to have an accompanying emotion or feeling. The bible tells us exactly how to be saved. If we do this, we are saved. If you don't "feel" anything, but have done this, you are no less saved.

Emotions are just that. Some may have them, like your husband, some may not, with regard to this particular question.

I believe I am saved because the Bible says if I accept Jesus Christ as my lord and savior, accepting His gift of grace, then I am saved by His blood and my sins are attoned for. I've never had any big "pentacostal" moment either. But then the Bible doesn't say I need to.

I do notice from time to time, though, that I tend to see things a little differently from non-believers. So maybe that's the Holy Spirit.

When you accept Jesus' atonement for your sin and give your life to God, you are saved. Most people DON'T get that "pentecostal moment," as someone else said.

We don't see bright lights or hear choirs of angels singing, but the more time we spend with God and reading the Bible, the more we know it's true.

It is one of those things you just know. It is not a feeling. I am lucky enough to have had GOD speak to my heart directly. GOD speaks to you in ways you can understand. It is a very individual thing. We are saved by Christ finished work on the cross. The more you come to realize that, the more you realize that you are saved. †

The joy of the Lord is what I felt because of His Mercy and it feels like the weight of the past is lifted. Sins and hurts because you have to forgive to be forgiven can't hold a grudge.

Salvation is not a one time thing.

Scripture teaches that one’s final salvation depends on the state of the soul at death. As Jesus himself tells us, "He who endures to the end will be saved" (Matt. 24:13; cf. 25:31–46). One who dies in the state of friendship with God (the state of grace) will go to heaven. The one who dies in a state of enmity and rebellion against God (the state of mortal sin) will go to hell.

If you have with a senser heart and mind ask God for forgiveness, then by faith you are forgiven that very minute. Some people feel differently, some people don't.
