You must finish them off.. or the bacteria may come back stronger than ever.Talk to your doctor about anyside effects that are bothersome. But, do not stop taking them unless he tells you to.
Hang in there!

Helpful2U has it right.

I'm not knowledgeable to the specifics but in general you should always finish any prescription. Stopping before you're through may mean not being cured and you could be contributing to making whatever illness you have worse on the rebound or even harder to deal with as it may build up a resistance to the medicine.

If the medicine is causing serious problems discuss it with your doctor or pharmacist. There may be an alternative that is just as effective without the complications.

Also never keep or share old prescription medicines. If you don't finish them for some reason (and see above, you should almost always finish them) take them to your pharmacist for proper disposal.

Hi.. yes you have to finish the meds totally to kill the bacteria.. But if you feel light headed, try to take them with a glass of milk or some food and not on an empty stomach.. that might cut down on the symptom.. If not, just don't drive or do anything that would be dangerous while taking the rest..Feel Better Soon.. :-)

Tell your doctor--he may prescribe something else. However, since you are half way finished, he may say continue. I took the same medication & was a little light-headed but stayed with it. The med. worked & there were no problems.

Yes, you want to take the entire script because you want to kill the infection, and although you may feel better (at least the reason you're taking it, not the lightheadedness) the infection may not be completely dead, and by stopping it now, while you're symptoms may get better, you will essentially have an untreated infection, which can lead to something worse later on.
