Gluten is found in breads, cakes, cookies, things with flour. Casein is a milk derivitave and can be found in, naturally, milk products but it can also be found in water packed tuna fish. Check the labels for the casein.

There are lots of things you can feed your toddler - all vegetables and fruits as well as meats - no processed foods that would contain flour or dairy. So no cookies. You can go on the web and find lots of gluten free recipes and your health food store or the health food section of your local grocery store may carry gluten free products - even cake mixes and muffin mixes that don't have gluten in them.

My husband is borderline diabetic so flour isn't good for him either. I use coconut flour in my cookies and cakes in place of flour because there is no gluten in it. You can get it ordered at your local grocery store. Bob's Red Mill makes is and most grocery stores carry Bob's Red Mill products so they would be able to order it for you. That way you could make him a treat on occasion.

Soy milk doesn't contain casein. I'm not particularly fond of it but I know my nephew was allergic to regular milk so he was on Soy almost from birth.

You can give your child canned, fresh or frozen veggies. A hamburger but not the bun, a Hebrew National hot dog won't have casein in it because they don't mix dairy and meat.

Your child can have baked chicken, potatoes, rice, bean soup, tomatoes, lots and lots of foods.

Hope that helps.

Gluten is a protien found in plant matter like wheat, soy, and other legumes that causes allergies and Ciliac's disease. In ciliacs it kills the villi of the intestines.

It has nothing to do with milk products.

Casein is a chemical in milk. It can cause dietary problems.

Before you give milk substitute soy products do some research on soy.

I suggest you get a good diagnosis before starting such a radical diet for a baby.

See your doctor at once.
