hydrogen fuel cell woul be impressive but impractacal for me to make maybe anytype of fuel cell that u have a deep understanding of that could be made by a civilian im trying to impress my colleagues and teacher

i know how a fuel cell functions i just want to know stuff like how could i make a PEM

Not easily done. You need a lot of platinum. Either that or one of the expensive and patented replacement substances that have been invented to take the place of platinum in fuel cells. And you will need expensive high tech tools too. It would be easier to build your own gasoline engine from scrap metal and in a home machine shop or make your own batteries in a home chemistry lab than to make your own fuel cell.

You can easily build a battery at home with easily available components. Its given in many Science Experiments books.
Fuel cells are very difficult though.

Hwy do you need to build a hydrogen fuel cell ??, how about first studie it in you physics class.
