DVDShrink doesn't have any burning capabilities, it is strictly for authoring tools, for example shrink an 8GB movie to fit onto a 4GB disk. To burn the movie, you will have to use a burning software. I personally use DVDDecrypter because it works easily and readily with the ISO files that DVDShrink makes.
So, you shrink the DVD and then burn it.

you have to be sure nero is installed prior to installing dvd shrink. once the two are installed and you have the dvd you would like to copy in the drive, just hit the 'backup' button. from here, the software will rip the dvd, analyze the data, recode it to fit on a 4.5gb dvdr, and then prompt you to insert the blank dvd. at this point, nero will automatically pickup and start writing the copy.

presto and you are done.

if you come across a movie that hangs up in the process of ripping/analyzing, it is possibly a locked dvd. in this case, check out dvd decrypter, which will unlock and rip the movie. from here, you open the files in dvd shrink and it will work as if the movie is in the drive.
