No, this is not at stupid question, but the outcome was quite predictable. When you ask boys/men what they prefer, the majority always tells you they want you in skirts.
Recently there was a questions to girls whether they got more dates when they were wearing skirts, and there was even less doubt about the answer here. A few weeks ago there was an equally strong confirmation when some asked if girls were treated better by boys when they wore skirts.
Most probably you have discovered the difference in the boys reactions, too.
But still, it is not a stupid question. There is so much political and idealogical tension in this issue. I know it. I only wear skirts, and I am open about that I do so because my man prefers me in skirts, and the comments I every now and then get from other women don't stop to surprise me.
Maybe you don't like to wear skirts yourself, and therefore don't like to know that skirts give you an advantage with boys? At least there are several other girls in this situation, and many of them are eager to tell you that the effect of wearing skirts is at best a placebo effect.
If you are honest, the signals boys send you when you wear a skirt are just as clear as those I get, and they should be easy to read and understand for most of us. When boys compliment you for your skirt, it is because they like it, and they want you to wear it more often. And be sure: They would have complimented you much more often, if they were not afraid to sound like sexists.
Therefore most of us need confirmation. At least those of us who wear skirts and do it to look better for the other sex. My man is very clear about this to me, but he is not the only one to confirm this preference. Eyes talk, too.
Walk together with a girl in pants, and try to find out who of you two the eyes look at. Don't expect any surprise, I can tell you the outcome of the test if you want.

I like it when guys wear skirts.
It shows CONFIDENCE. That they're not afraid of having fun, making fun of themselves! As long as they're not wearing a skirt 24/7 and only put it on for laughs.

i love everything my lady wears and yes i do love it when she wears a skirt --- she does like minis and she looks fabulous

they are good however if u wear really short ones all teh time and try and show off or are jsut a whore... we all know u are and we will laugh at you
on occassion they can be cute and look good.
