I prefer being single and don't really need or believe in that "true love" stuff. I'm a realist...for real. I've been the boyfriend and am the married father of 3 kids. I've been seperated from my bridezilla for almost 4 wonderfully peaceful drama free years. I come and go as I please and I intend to stay single and free til I die.

Of course.

I don't consider being single to be a fate worse than death, so the thought of being single for a ten year span is hardly horrifying.

In addition to which, everyone is single for some period -- usually a pretty lengthy one -- before "settling down" or finding true love or thinking they've found it and later finding they were horribly wrong... In other words, if you're going to be single anyway, why *wouldn't* you choose to find true love down the road a ways?

Of course. Yes.

Why not? I would choose to be single for 10 years if there was a promise of anything such as good health, success, happiness, joy, peace, anything good.

Yes. I have been single for almost 11 years. Does that mean my true love is around the corner?

It all depends on who is promising this. If it is someone that is "Married" and just leading you on then NO! Its not worth the wait. Maybe its someone that is overseas in the war then That is a definent yes. It would be worth the wait.

of course, ten years is worth finding someone you can love for the rest of your life.

The alternative being with someone that complains but gives it up... I think the alternative is best. I can hop in the car and go somewhere to avoid ear fulls of blah. :)
