Whenever im on microsoft word processor, and im trying to edit a sentence, everytime i press space, or type a letter that suppose to go before a sentence, what happens is that it automatically deletes the first letter of the sentence to make room.

example: he went to school today

If i wanted to change he to she, typing an s before he changes it to se, as it auto-deleted the h.
same would happen if i put a space right before the h.

so what do i do to turn off that autodelete function

You must have hit the [Insert] key (above the delete key) on your keyboard. When this function is on, it will type over the text instead of in front of the text. Simply hit the [Insert] key again to take it off.

you're in the overtype mode

press the insert key once to switch out of it

you should see OVR in the status bar when in overtype mode
