Shouldn't a humble person be meek?

Meekness does not equal weakness. Here's how Peter said Christians should do it.

1 Peter 3:14 But even if you should suffer for righteousness' sake, you will be blessed. Have no fear of them, nor be troubled, 15 but in your hearts regard Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; 16 yet do it with gentleness and respect, having a good conscience, so that, when you are slandered, those who revile your good behavior in Christ may be put to shame.

You don't have to let anger or a superior attitude characterize standing up for what you believe. You tell the truth in a calm, respectful manner.

2 Corinthians 10:3 For though we walk in the flesh, we are not waging war according to the flesh. 4 For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds. 5 We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ,

It's not arrogant to point to another person and say, "That person is right" is it? Similarly, if a person has beliefs that derive from another source, like say a religious text or scientific fact, it isn't arrogant to stand up for them. All you're saying by doing that is, "This other person (or God) had a great idea/made a great discovery. Look at it!" What would be arrogant would be to say, "I decided the sky was orange and I'm right and I'll fight you to the death over it."

To align oneself with truth and stand up for the truth doesn't make one proud, it makes one courageous. True courage and meekness go hand in hand.

Humble is not to have to rise to the bait of others. Meek is more of a shrinking shy person. In my opinion of course

Jesus was meek and humble. He told people the truth and they crucified him.

Being confident in the Lord is mistaken for arrogance by those who lack faith.

2Co 4:5 For we do not preach ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord, and ourselves your bondservants for Jesus’ sake.
