I mean, most Christians will insist it was the work of one man, Joseph Smith, and not inspired by God, and yet the books are very close in style and content, and millions have accepted it as authentic, so if the Book of Mormon can be faked by one man, why not the Bible by many men? If the Bible were really from God, it shouldn't be so easy for people to duplicate it...

The bible was written by Prophets, just as the book of Mormon was. The book of Mormon was translated by one man, but written by many. The Bible has gone through various translations over the years.

I don't think the books are all that similar. In some ways they are, but both are talking about history and timeline, of two peoples on different continents.

The best way to prove the veracity of the Book of Mormon is through the Spirit. Remember Moroni talking about that? "Questions" like this don't really speak to the soul.

The best way to test any doctrine, including the Bible, is to test out the prophesies and claims to see if they are 100% accurate. Obviously, if the Bible is 100%, then it would mean that it's contents is inspired by God. If the book of Mormon comes close, to 99%, it's not good enough. And as a result, it has to be rejected because truth is 100% accurate; it's not 95% right and 5% wrong, otherwise it's not right at all. It's like if I told someone, "Tomorrow you will go to the store and buy a loaf of bread, but as you do you'll come short of change and they'll give excuse your shortage and let you go." Though this is a primary example meant to humor you, the implication is real. 95% may be true, but the last part isn't. What store would you know would let you go without demanding full payment of something you bought? Obviously none. The same is true here in the case of the book of mormon and the Bible. If the Bible says that the prophesies must be 100% accurate, then the Bible itself must be tested to see if it's true. If not, then the Bible isn't reliable, and strangely enough, if that were true, the Book of Mormon has to be right. In reality, it's completely the opposite. So, I do hope this answers your question. The Bible prophesies in 2 Tim 3 or 4 would be a great place to start, as it refers to the last days. The point is this is, if something is 100% because God is always right; if it's from man, then there will be some mistake or falliability in the text where a teaching or prophecy is not 100%. Test facts, historically and practically, and you will see that these two books are in great conflict with each.

You're reasoning is faulty. Why can't someone emulate in style a book that is already written? Of course it can. If you don't choose not to believe the Bible, written by men, inspired by the Holy Spirit us authentic, so be it.

Joseph's wife, Emma, said that there was no way he could have ever made up the Book of Mormon. It would take someone along the lines of Tolkien to do that, and even then, he couldn't have done it in two month's time, like Joseph Smith did.

The bible is a conglomeration of many old texts prepared from old stories of ancient people. Only selected texts were taken, then edited and some insertions were made. Clearly the bible is the work of man.

There were eye-witnesses to the accounts in the Bible. We can see OT prophersies carried out in the NT, even though they were written at separate times. BOM is one book by One man
Historical documents and archeologic finds agree with the Bible- none agree with the BOM

The style is not the pertinent issue, but rather the contents.

The Book of Mormon has verifiable historical inaccuracies (such as the existence of spring steel prior to its invention, to name only one of many). The Bible does not have *any* proven historical accuracies. Thus, it is certain that the Book of Mormon has (several) errors. The same cannot be reasonably said about the bible (i.e. using reason combined with historical and scientific knowledge).

If the Bible is the work of God, who did Adam's children have children with? According to God, the only answer is, their parents or brothers & sisters. It's the work of men who didn't know better.

I do not compare denominations-ever. Each one was begun by someone who felt they had the leading of God Almighty. I will not and I cannot judge what has been established and consecrated to the Name of God. To get rid of it can only come from the Father. I do condemn all churches and works of the enemy/the father of darkness. I won't even say
his name, it's too vile.

They can't explain it. The bible is the work of over 40 authors. Any educated person knows that. It is an anthology written over a span of about 1500 years.
