If you are the only person named on your credit card, you are the only person responsible for paying the credit card off. However, that doesn't mean the roomate doesn't have to pay you directly - because he does.

Call the roomate and try to work out a solution in terms of payments. If you're not living together, one person is going to need to buy-out the other person's share. If you can't work out a solution, then the only thing you can do is go to small claims court. Each of you will tell your side of the story and the judge will make a decision for you.

Well call your friend and ask him why he hasn't paid. Don't count on the friendship lasting too much longer because it sounds like he is going to stiff you.

If he doesn't cough up all the back payments, just tell him you will take the furniture. If you can't make use of it, sell it and pay off the account.

you cain't make him pay,and your libale. it's your
credit that is going to mess you up for 8 years.
contact lawyer and he will make sure you get the furniture, sell it to pay on your credit accoun't,and try to make up the loss.
OR take him to small claims court to get the money and furnature,OR ask the judge for your friend to pay you full price plus interest,as he has
the furnature. ( PLEASE DON'T EVER DO THAT
AGAIN )

You need to TALK TO HIM as soon as possible. Be up front about this. Consider it another lesson to be learned. Never, ever buy anything with someone under your credit, unless you are married.
