Cowardice plain and simple, don't try saying otherwise. Check the history of the US civil rights movement. People in our country fought, bled and DIED fighting for their rights in this country, the number of American martyrs could fill volumes.

AMEN!!
Mexico may not be more corrupt than the US, but the corruption is definitely more open, expected, and to a certain point, approved of.
Although Mexico has more millionaires per capita than any other country on earth (American dollars, that is), the cards are definitely stacked against the common man.
In the US, if you have a job, you can usually buy what that company offers. In Mexico, that just is not the case.
I have said, for years, that it is an embarrassment to any country if, even one, of their citizens "needs" to go to another country to "make a better life"
Shame on Mexico, its government, and its people for not having a real revolution and setting up a real government that will legally work FOR its people instead of systematiclly down!

What a great run-on sentence! Mexicans actually enforce their immigration law, and are not immune from gassing, shooting or clubbing dissenters in their own country. The illegals know this, so you now have the answer to your question. This is why they come up here to rant and rave. They know that they will live to fight another day on this side of the border.

It is not just Mexico as in other regions it is central americans. The US spent huge amounts of money to liberate them and also into loans and such.
But yes you would think they would be able to be at home and make political change. In Poland, Hungary, Romania, the Ukraine and such the people rallied and fixed things. Some African and South American countries (the more real Spanish european ones) did so as well. Even with the threat of being shot or jailed.
But in all of those counties the people stood up as there was no easy border to cross. You did it or not. There was no country to just leech off. The people STOOD UP and were proud of who they were and their country. Where is the Mandela or Ghandi of the hispanic world?

Because they would get killed in their old country. The US government (and liberals in general) bend over for them here.
