A guy that I'm interested in said this to me: "I am not capable of giving you what you want right now." Is this flat-out rejection or just bad timing?

In a way, no. It just means he is not capable of having the lovable relationship u want right now, in the moment. He may have issues he needs to clear out or up, but he just can't commit and give u the energy you need to have a healthy realtionship.

Just the honest truth from a guy who doesn't want to be in a full blown committed relationship. You girls require way too much personal attention and time out of a guys life and he probably has other things he wants to accomplish like school, sports, work and stuff. Maybe you should do the same.

It's just bad timing. The guy probably just doesn't want a relationship right now. I've been in that situation a lot.. The fact that he cares enough to say that instead of something meaner means that he does in fact like you, but he doesn't want a girlfriend right now.

I think he is just telling the truth. You want a relationship, he doesn't. So he is rejecting you, but on good grounds. And it could be bad timing too...

either you're too high maintenance and you just don't know it, he really can't give what you want, or it's bad timing. It might be rejection, but most likely, it's the bad timing.

this depends on what he actually means... not capab;e in what way??? financially?? sexually??? or inter-relationship??? anyway... whatever it is... just forget the whole idea about him... if hes not interested.. then find someone who is...

it means he thinks you are too high-maintenance, so he is not interested, and is trying to say it nicely.
