Hi -
By "boiled water" do you mean water that has been boiled then cooled down, or water which is boiling hot (212' F)?

In the first case, nothing bad will happen. The alcohol content will stay the same.

In the second case, are you thinking it might
change the alcohol content because of the temperature of the water? Well, in that case, nothing very much. It would be like baking a cake made with spirits: the alcohol evaporates and the taste alone is left.

However, since the water would not be boiling hot for as long as the alcohol in the cake is subjected to the oven heat, there would certainly be alcohol left in your mixture.

Hope that helps.

Now if you wanted to create a hot drink made with liquor then you might want to try adding liquor to hot coffee.
Bailey's Irish Creme, Kahlua, Frangelica are all great mixed with coffee. They are delicious served hot!
