A LITTLE DOG ANGEL
High up in the courts of heaven today
a little dog angel waits;
with the other angels he will not play,
but he sits alone at the gates.
"For I know my master will come" says he,
"and when he comes he will call for me."
The other angels pass him by
As they hurry toward the throne,
And he watches them with a wistful eye
as he sits at the gates alone.
"But I know if I just wait patiently
that someday my master will call for me"
And his master, down on earth below,
as he sits in his easy chair,
forgets sometimes, and whispers low
to the dog who is not there.
And the little dog angel cocks his ears
and dreams that his master's voice he hears.
And when at last his master waits
outside in the dark and cold,
for the hand of death to open the door,
that leads to those courts of gold,
he will hear a sound through the gathering dark,
a little dog angel's bark.

Oh my dear friend I'm so very sorry.
Right now I know the world feels as if it's stopped turning and your tears will never end, but given time you will be able to remember Lacy and smile.
Just remember now she is a young and healthy dog again running through those lush green fields at the Rainbow Bridge. She's no longer sick or in pain. All she knows is freedom and joy.
Just remember as long as Lacy lives in your heart she will never really die.
I will hold you and Lacy in my prayers tonight

This link may help some.

So sorry to hear about your loss and know how raw this time is..
Your Lacy has passed on and something never lost is that bond you have with her. Be good to yourself in your grieving. Try fixing something that is soothing to you to drink tonight, hot chocolate, tea, whatever- put on clean soft sheets, take a hot shower or relaxing bath. You won't feel like any of this but it will help you to feel a bit better.
Hope the site helps and hope the support you get here will lift you up when your heart is so heavy.
Our prayers (me and my crew- spouse and three pups) go out to you

I'm so sorry! I lost my 11 month old Lily a couple months ago and it's really hard. I loved her so much. People say to "think about the good times you had" but that's going to be hard right now so just allow time for healing. Allow a couple of weeks for that because right now it is just going to make you more sad. It's best to keep your mind busy right now. Trust me, it helps. People may say things that are well-intended but just don't help or make things worse. Don't be upset because they are trying to help. There are only a handful of people that know what you are going through.
Also, we got a new dog about a week after Lily died and it helped. It didn't feel like we were replacing her, but instead we just had a ball of fluff to supply us with the love we were missing.

Once again, I'm so sorry and I promise it will get better.

I'm so sorry. I know sorry doesn't help bring her back or really ease your pain that much, but I truly am. I know how much it hurts to lose something/someone that means so much to you. At least she's in a better place now, free of pain, and able to romp and play however she pleases and at least you gave her a good life and now you can have those memories of you two together and that'll never die. I hope you can remember the good times and try to smile from the memories instead of cry in your grieving! I will be thinking of you and you dog!

I'm so sorry for your loss, dear. Take care of yourself and let yourself grieve for your precious Lacy. You are in my thoughts and prayers. The Rainbow Bridge poem may help as well.

Death is a part of life. It will hurt now. But you can smile at the memories you had with Lacy. Sounds like Lacy was really sick, She now is at peace and resting. And in NO PAIN!!

Ah, honey, I am so sorry. There is nothing worse than losing a loved one. It is hard, so allow your self to grieve. But it will get better with time.
Your Lacy was one lucky dog. I'm sorry she is gone.
