When I think I'm fat?
I'm 5"5, and 96 pounds.
I feel like my stomach and thighs are huge, but everyone says I'm skinny.
Do you think I'm the right weight? I feel so fat all the time, and I feel guilty after I eat.

My friend, you are not fat. You are quite lean -- perhaps too lean.

Not only are you NOT fat -- you are also in danger of developing an eating disorder.

Anorexia, FYI, begins with a negative self image -- the idea that, even though everyone around you recognizes that you are underweight or very thin, YOU see someone overweight in the mirror. This is accompanied by an obsession with your weight and a feeling of guilt when you eat.

Think about seeking help before it gets to that. Talk to someone and be honest about your feelings. Don't let it go to the next level. Good luck and God bless.

Don't feel guilty about eating normally. You may be out of shape - but that's not about eating. You may need to do some exercise to get your body into the shape you want. If people tell you that you are skinny you should believe them. They certainly would not say that if you were fat. So- what are you going to do? Do you ruin your health and your life by going on believing you are fat and adopting bad eating habits or do you accept a bit of advice and get into shape by doing some exercise. I'd go for the exercise. Any exercise -but find a gym locally and they will sort you out with a programme. It's not all about weight!!!

You are skinny. I'm 5'5 and weigh 20 more pounds than you, and people think I'm thin... so yeah you are skinny.

I agree with the person above. You are in danger of developing an eating disorder because you have a distorted body image. You may want to get some help before it turns into something serious.

probably you think your stomach and thighs are big b/c maybe they are not toned - it might be worth gaining some weight in the form of muscle if it makes your body more fit b/c you will lose inches even if you gain a few pounds?
