I love squirrels, always have!! :) Years ago, I lived in London, for some months, and I'd spend hours at the parks, reading and watching the squirrels. Thank you for the good memories, my friend, and for the smile!! :)

G=ME Do you live in Olney IL ? I use to live in Evansville IN and have visited Olney before. The white squirrel's are everywere ! One more thing I dont know if you have ever visited The Garden of the Gods in IL. but its not too far from were you live. It too is a great place to take some great photos joephoto75@yahoo.com

Very cool. I have seen the Olney white squirrels talked about on PBS before, but that pic is so clear.
I am lucky enough to live in a rural area, and spend time every day enjoying nature.
When I walked my dog this am, I saw two deer and lots of wild turkey. No pics though, I don't take a camera out for the morning walk, just enjoy every minute.
Thanks for sharing a great pic. Very interesting.

He's beautiful! Thank you!!! I've been bugging my boyfriend to go down to Olney for a night or two, I'd love to see those guys. We've got some little colonies of the black squirrels in different areas where I live, but I've only seen photo's of the white ones

Oh my gosh! That's so awesome! Me and my mom saw a white squirrel last winter at our cabin, and that was the first one i've ever seen in my life. Just think some people never see a white squirrel their life, their very rare. Great Picture:)

We only get Grey and Red Squirrels in the UK. I didn't know they came white. Is it an albino do you think?

LOL That is really neat! I wasn't expecting such a close up.
We have squirrels all over here, but have never seen a white one. I love to watch them run on the fences and really get a kick out of seeing them on phone lines. I just think it's funny how they manage to get allmost anywhere.

That is a real cute picture of your squirrel. A real good friend of mine gets down on his knees with a magnifying glass to look at the world "real close up". So I tried it and it is amazing what you can see. Try it, you will love it.
