In the tradition of Jeff Foxworthy's redneck jokes, to relieve some frustration at the complete thick-skulled global warming denier answers to my questions today...

You might know jack about global warming (and might not be smarter than a 5th grader) if...

you think the current global warming is due to a natural cycle.
you think it's caused by volcanoes.
you think it's caused by water vapor.
you think it's caused by soda pop carbonation.
you think it's caused by cow and moose farts.
you think humans can't alter the global climate.
you think humans aren't altering the global climate.
you think that 'Mars is warming' is a valid counter-argument.
you think that all planets in the solar system are warming.
you think the Sun is getting hotter.
you think it's due to increased solar irradiance.
you think it's caused by sunspots.

...if you can't come up with a valid alternative explanation for the warming, a valid criticism of the scientific consensus, and yet continue to deny anthropogenic global warming.

* Have you noticed how few people are resorting to 'Swindle' these days - it's been pulled off You Tube, the reason stated on the site is for copyright purposes but the producers have been forced to reedit the program for a fourth time because of legal threats. The current version is very different to the one that was on You Tube. Have you seen Martin Durkin (the producer) being interviewed, very funny - http://www.desmogblog.com/video-abc-australias-tony-jones-dissects-debunks-martin-durkin

I am glad that you know more about climate change than some prominent climatologists including Jan Veiser. A recent paper by him, based on dozens of studies and his own research of 40 years, concluded that solar activity has been the “climate driver” for billions of years. While the climate can be affected by the many factors , it is the sun and its effects that have caused changes in climate for 4 billion years. Dr Veizer first set out to prove that CO2 was historically what caused changes in climate, but noted, “Personally, this last decade has been a trying period because of the years of internal struggle between what I wanted to believe and where the empirical record and its logic were leading me.”

According to NOAA, El Ninos and La Ninas are not affected by increases in CO2 or any global warming that CO2 is claimed to caused. Veizer concluded that while solar activity peaked during the eighties, the El Nino Southern Osscilation have been running positive since, and has contributed to the earth warming up.

The very fact that you put this in the POLITICS section is the reason most people see the whole Global Warming Issue as a POLITICAL issue rather than an actual environmental one. I would say that global warming is caused by Al Gore.

Excuse me! The bulk of Global Warming may be due to a natural cycle. I don't think that you will find many people warning about Global Warming that don't acknowledge natural trends.

Mcool1978 -- I really think that everyone has heard about all they need to about people who preach and don't practice. You're so redundant.

Volcano gasses play a part and water vapour is a very strong greenhouse gas.

Soda Pop -- Hmmmm. Never heard that one.

Cattle farts - yes.

I do think that people play a big part and we should do what we can to slow change down.

You don't know jack if you believe that the world has not been warming for thousands of years. You don't know jack if you pretend that the warming in the last couple decades are because of human emitted CO2. You don't know jack because you don't have the slightest clue what you don't know.

Those discredited global warming statements have become such cliches here on Y!A that we can expect at least one of these bogus statements from the anti-AGW crowd. Let's see, how many have we seen posted today?

You left out the most ridiculous one of all, a trace gas in the atmosphere that just barely catches the edge of the heat escaping earth, and is subsequently smothered by water vapor.
