I have an 06' Liberty, Strawberry Red, with a lift, aftermarket wheels & tires, LOADED. Only 19,000 miles on it, perfect condition. I've been trying to sell it for about 5 months, in an area where LOTS of people drive 4x4's. I have it priced $ 2,000 below LOW book, and not 1 call. I've advertised on the web, paper, have signs on it, etc. Is there some bad scuttlebutt out there about Libertys that I haven't heard ? The consumer reports all say it's a good vehicle & it's held it's value really well... I'm stumped !

Gets 22 mpg, I wouldn't think it was a mileage issue...

You didn't say how much you're selling it for, but be aware that there are currently huge rebates on the '07 Liberty right now ($3500 for the Sport and $4500 for the Limited) as Jeep is trying to clear out their inventory to make way for the redesigned '08 Liberty, so that certainly doesn't help. I doubt KBB has factored this into their valuation (yet). Also, I believe high gas prices have especially hurt re-sale of low mpg vehicles like the Liberty. If you want to get a "rock bottom" valuation of your vehicle, you could ask a dealer what they'd offer for it. Then figure you should be able to get 10-20% more from a private party.

I don't know anyone who would even consider a Liberty with a lift kit on it. Those trucks are kid, and grocery haulers, a soccor mom is not going to want an suv with a lift. The buyer of that will be a young male, and cosidering it's an 06, the target buyer most likely can't afford it. But even then, a young male would want something that looks a little more masculine. The Liberty is girly, and with a lift and strawberry red, wow, you better trade it to a dealer, they can be color blind.

The lift kit hurts it, plus they are giving new Jeeps away, so your would have to be super cheap-an 06 needs to be under 15K to attract attention.
