Nobody who is sick should donate blood. When you donate blood in the US, they are required by law to ask about certain diseases and syptoms and lifestyles and travels, but they are also required to ask about general health.

If you told them you had TB, they wouldn't take your blood.

I don't think TB is transmitted by blood.
I'm not sure though.
