Right, hemoglobin is not a carbohydrates. It is made up of a protein and iron.

Each subunit of hemoglobin is a globular protein or a spheroproteins with an embedded heme group - each contains an iron atom.

no its a protein with an Fe2+ core, double check the 2 it mite only be a 1 but its defo a protein with an Fe core of some charge
