Several years ago, I was diagnosed with what my doctor at the time identified as a "left bundle branch block". She told me this was not a severe or life-altering condition, it was probably congenital, and unlike a "right bundle branch block" which can be severe, a left one is not a serious issue at all.

I've have issues with breathing properly, exercise intolerance, pounding pulses, and fatigue. So a new doctor checked it out, and discovered I now have a murmur, which I've never had before and told me that I have a "right bundle branch block", and that a left one can be a worrisome issue, but a right one is not.

What the heck? Which one is right? When I looked online, everything seems to say a right branch block is worse than a left, and I've been by 2 doctors that my block is opposing sides?
So what gives? One Dr. obviously doesn't know what they are going on about, and I have an echo & doppler scheduled next week.

But how hard can it be to tell which side this is??

doctors are only human, and we have all confused right and left from time to time. Recommend you get another opinion.

probably what they need to do is conduct an autopsy, take your heart out and have a look at it so that we can get to the bottom of this mystery. Sometimes an autopsy is the only way you can figure things out, anything else is best guess.
