Its going to be a pretty basic dinner tonight. What do you make with Salmon when you have it? How do you cook your Salmon?

I broil the salmon in the oven. Salmon is too delicately flavored to overpower it with smoke and charcoal taste. Just lightly salt and broil. Serve with lemon wedges. I'm not a big fan of tartar sauce with it.

For sides, I'd go with either salad, bread, and a vegetable or rice, bread, and a veg.

I tried this the other night, and it turned out REALLY good.

Whisk olive oil, soy sauce and wasabi powder
pour over salmon and marinade for about 20 minutes
preheat pan med-high
add salmon and sear each side for two minutes
add marinade to pan and transfer to 350 oven for about ten minutes
I keep my sides simple:
green salad
jasmine rice seasoned with curry powder

Believe it or not I cook fish in the microwave now. I tried it just for the heck of it to see what it would be like and have never gone back to any other way. Except maybe a salmon steak that you want brown. What I do is put it in a covered dish and add a couple of tbsp water, put a lid on it and cook it. The steam keeps the fish really really moist. As to what to have with it I always have that problem myself.

wrap it in foil with a sprinkling of sage and some coarse ground rock salt... bake it in the oven for about 25 minutes at 400°F then serve with a side of either mashed potatoes or rice... and perhaps a simple lemon sauce (plain flour, milk, grated lemon zest cooked inn a pan till thick and creamy...)

I grill it if its steaks and bake it if it a fillet. I top the fillet with butter sliced onion and lemon and bake for 20 minutes at 350. I grill it with a rub of you choice until the flesh flakes. I serve it with twice baked potatoes and a green veggie. i like sauteed spinach with fish. Serve a side salad and youre done.;-)

rub them with any herbs available..salt,pepper and olive oil.broil them..reheat cream of mushroom soup..put on top of the fish..!or if you have teriyaki sauce,marinate and grill them..!
