My friend is filing out a Federal Job Application and we are trying to figure out how to word an explination for a mistimenure for spanking her son.

I would just say "charged with spanking my child." I used to work with OPM and misdemeanor's didn't necessarily mean you couldn't work for the gov., felonies of course made it harder.

Filing out? Explination? Mistermenure? Oh dear. I hope you two checked the spelling of the other words you have in that application because no employer is going to want to hire someone who can't even use a dictionary.
