The Fed Ex Cup part of the TOUR season is over but there are seven more events for the "Fall Series". Many players need to make some extra scratch to pay for their wives' spending habits or, retain their card for 2008.

No. The FedEx Cup chase is over with the conclusion of THE TOUR Championship last week in Atlanta. However, seven official events remain on the PGA tour schedule, which is comprised of an aggregate of 47 tourneys. The last tournament (Children's Miracle Network Classic) is scheduled the end on November 4. Next week's President's Cup and all events after November 4 are not official PGA Tour events.
Incidentally, the 2008 PGA Tour season begins the first week of January in Hawaii with the Mercedes-Benz Championship.

No... well for the PGA Tour which I am assuming is what your talking about. They play year round, they start January 4th and the last day of the season is December 16th. They get breaks and stuff through the year but other than that, they mainly just get the holidays off.

Well, not "officially", but you won't be seeing anyone worth a damn out there. You can bet that Tiger, Phil, Ernie and the other big guys are sitting out the rest of the year until the ATT next Feburary.
