It depends on the condition, the maker and the model.
It was made after 1907, that was the year Smith & Wesson introduced the .44 S&W Special.
If it is a Smith & Wesson New Century, popularly known as the Triple-Lock, value could run well over $1,000.00 for one in perfect condition. For less than perfect condition, prices would be drastically lower. If the revolver has ever been refinished, collector value is virtually non-existent, and it would be priced as a shooter grade weapon, in which case, the price would probably be in the $300.00 to $600.00 range.
Without further information, it will be impossible to do more than quote figures from the Blue Book. If your revolver is a Triple-Lock, it will be worthwhile to have a qualified appraiser examine it and give you a value.
If you wish to sell the gun, post it on Guns America, or Auction Arms. Include full details, and photographs. With the info you posted here, you'd be unlikely to get any bids at all.

You did not state the model #. I found that the model 3 S A ( new model) was made between 1878-1908. The value for the gun ranges from NIB.3856- Gd.1957.
