I work at LAX. When you arrive go to the Travelers Aid booth. There is one located on the lower level in every terminal. They have a book with very low rates that are good for only one night. Usually $50 and up.

Try the Motel 6. They are on Century Bl about a mile east of LAX. I think they are about $65-$70.
