His best friend says he likes me but he's acting like a complete ******. why?

We've been hanging out for awhile and it took him a month to make a move. I thought things would move forword from there but we've been moving backwards. i don't want to give up on him but he's being a complete d!ck when we hang out. His best friend who is also one of my good friends insists he likes me. What is his deal? I need to move on right??

were both sophmores in college. i would think things would be less childish.

and by dick i mean I'll go to hang out with him and then he'll just ignore me. i'm like "hello i'm here to see you!"

Depends on a few factors really on weather you can do anything to save this. One being weather or not you can bring this up to him, and actually get a construtive response. The other and most important, weather or not he sees the same problem as you. If he doesn't then your short of stuck going no where, or being extremely creative about different approaches, heck its your life. But this is ether coming down to two possibilities, one being that he's just "insecure" (we all are to a point that I hate the word, seems like name calling, but I digress) and not really sure how to progress, with that said you can easily fix it with just talking to him honestly about it, in your own style of course, he might like a hand leding him more then he lets on. The other possiblity, espaically at that age, is that theirs no changing his mind about the way he feels towards ladies in his life. We tend to loss our ability to be dynamic as we get older, changing becomes so much more intense, and avoiding it so much easier. So this is going to all come down to his charater and your ability to reach out to it, in some cases, your seeing it, you have to give up hope.

you said you'll go and hang out ! is that just with him or a bunch of your friends. because if he acts like that when your alone then somethings wrong !if he acts like that only when your in a group then maybe he he's trying be cool in front of his friends. could be several things just be up front with him and ask him!
