ok my doctor told me to drink 64 oz of water a day to help with weight loss, which i aint over weight i just wanna lose a little since the medicine im on put some weight on me. And it was working really good i started losing some each day and when i had went to bed i was 138 and then the same time the very next day i am 143? Why? did i do something wrong? I ate like i always do and is was not bad and i excerised alot. So why did i gain 5 pounds over night?

This all has to do with water retention. Instead of charting your weight multiple times per day, weigh yourself one a day at the same time. You'll see it fluctuate give or take 5 pounds each day - this is normal.

Drinking water will keep your system flowing and you'll retain less.

this is exactly why people should track the body fat and not just numbers on a scale. the body weight fluctuates naturally depending on eating habits, exercise, etc. when the body stores excess sugars as glycogen as it's supposed to, the total bodyweight will increase as more water is stored.

when you track your body fat and you know that it has not increased weight fluctuations on the scale become meaningless. body weight scales have ruined many a life for those obessed with the weight.
