Special seasons are just that. They are specially designed for some segment of the public.

Often, Wildlife Management Areas host Youth Hunts, wherein an underage hunter, accompanied by one unarmed adult, may legally hunt. Sometimes there are other special restrictions, such as antlerless deer only, or a certain number of tines required.

You need to contact the manager of the WMA where your Dad and Granddad hunt, or the state Fish and Game Department for information about Special Hunts in your state.

I hope you get a big buck this year. It makes an old buzzard happy to hear of a young lady who wants to hunt and enjoy the outdoors.
