I don't mean parts of it, I mean the whole thing.

(I am not trying to say that it makes you a good OR bad person. I am just asking a question, so don't read to much into the question)

Yes I have 3 times through in 1 yr back in the 70's and that's what helped me make up my mind as a Christian and stay as 1.Try this, starting with the date of the day read psalms till you finish read 1 per day and think on it . So if you were to start today you would read all of psalm 18, then 19 the next day etc .Now Ive also read the bible through a few more times since the 70's but not tried to put it to memory

No, but like you were saying I've read parts. I really need too, but I still am kind of yound.
The thing that bothers me is that some people go to church and just listen to the people talk and some of what they say is opinons or made up by a church. Did you know the word "Hell" isn't even in the bible? The bible just says something about fire raining from the sky, and sure that sounds like Hell, but then I believe it says your dead, forever. Well at least thats what my grandmom said. The other thing that always bothered me was that one of the 10 comandments is thou shall keep me and my commandments, and another is thou shall rest on the seventh day. Well then why do most christians go to curch on Sunday? The 1st day of the week! Because jesus rose on Sunday. Well who decided to change it? If God wanted it on the 1st day he'd of said that. Well thats my oppinion. I know this is kind of irrelevant to you question, I just thought it was important to say.
So No i havn't yet, but I'm gonna, cause you really should so your beleif arn't baised on someone else's oppions.

Yes. I read the Bible often, things that happened then are still relevant today. Many of today's popular sayings came directly from the Bible.

It is a great teaching tool, and good for gaining general knowledge on how to deal with people. I would suggest reading it even if you don't believe. Its a great history lesson.

Dear babyduck24,

I read through the Bible every year. Those who may find it difficult to do, there is a radio station where they read over the airwaves through the Bible 2X per year. They read the certain portion of the Bible 3 times per day so if you miss the am reading, you can hear the noontime reading, and if you miss that there is a nightly reading also. I'll give the radio station in my sources.

Yes, in my young years, the old Bible from beginning to end. I was deeply impressed by all the wars and horrorful cruelties and punishments that I found in it.

I was even morbidly attracted by some sexual accounts in it. I re-read them so to get more reveries of the sort that young men like to indulge into.

Eventually I discovered that until recently the Catholic Church wanted to prevent the populace from reading the Bible.

Yes, many times. And the ridiculousness and the insult to common intelligence that the Bible presents made me not be a Christian any longer. Seriously, if you actually READ it with fresh eyes, you'll realize how ridiculous it is.

In my studies through the years I've read around fifteen various versions of the Bible. I have 30+ in my collection now.

Yes Darlin', cover to cover.

Did you know that in Deuteronomy 31:9-13, Moses asked that all the people were read the word once every seven years - so that they would all be aware of all that is contained therein?

Pretty good suggestion for all of us, even today.

Peace.

Yes I have incest and killing parts were cool but I wouldn't recommend this book it has plot holes a mile wide and contradicts itself to much. If you want a good read try some Stephen King. Cell was excellent

I read the whole thing many times over. I am an ex-Christian. I could find no way to reconcile all the conflicts in the Bible, so I gave up on the whole Judeo-Christian thing.
