Hate to tell you this, but this describes many, many leaders of wars, and many wars. From Napoleon to Stalin to Bush (end of war in Southern Sudan, for one, ironically starting his own "War on Terror", history can be argued in all different ways. I suggest if this is for a course, look into the era that you are currently studying. List the wars during that time, and the leaders of each nation/military. Then, see which one had the greatest impact on cease-fire.

.Robert Rogers,.. French and Indian War. and the war against the British from 1754 to 1763.
He was credited with training the first Ranger Brigade, and learned from the Indians some stealth warfare.
They were known as Rogers Rangers.
