That is why I do not believe in organized religion. Example: Why do Catholic priests molest young children and get away with it? I do not understand and will not subscribe to that sort of thing.

There is the overwhelming ignorance of those who think that catholicism is defined by the media hype of child molestation and refuse to see the larger picture of a church composed of people just like everyone else who often accomplish wonderful things like healing, caring, teaching, and celebrating the Presence of a living Lord. The other side is a church that has to deal with its imperfections which, incidentally, are statistically smaller than those in the general society. Have you looked around your own house and in your own version of the church? Organized religion is people, and unfortunately there is a preponderance of ignorance in the world. Maybe, just maybe we could get them to organize outside the church. Do you think we might call that Congress? Or do you have another idea of how to get together with people like yourself? It'd be a lot less confusing if we could just dumb it down until everybody has the same mind set and no one ever asks questions that might stir up people's souls. Did God really have something to do with diversity?

I do. Actually I am so against organized religion. Why do you or I have to go to a certain place and be told what to do, feel or think in order to be a good person or forgived. I stay as far away from OR as I can...I was born and raised as a strict catholic.

The organizers of ALL organized religion are men not God.
Most of them are organized for money. The bible says that
the kingdom of God is within you and doesn't come with
"observation". Your body is the temple of God and it is the
only place of worship that you need. In the Old Testament,
God said, Will you build me a house? He is creator of all
things & has no need for man to build him anything.
His temple is our body which He made and not man. When
you hear any building called "the house of God", they are
so limiting God. He is everywhere present and no where
absent. Those buildings may be places of worship, but
definitely not the house of God!!!

It does seem disorganized and combative. Which is why I'm an atheist. No more confusion!

Well, It kind of is. There are so many sects and types... and on top of that each church has its own thing! What matters is what you believe.
