Hello there young man, my worst deadly Sin, was lust in the end I know now that It is not the way to go, in the1960s it was called free love, In the 70s it was almost free love, In the 80s it was I need someone to love to live or I was not able to have a relationship because I thought it was not the content of the persons soul but how much sex in the relationship that I had to determine a person love for me, After 20 relationships , just as Drugs & Alcohol was an addiction so was sex and to be honest and having drugs or alcohol people would be a friend at the time and do anything for it. And at my age and into addiction I did not care. But now in recovery the guilt of the past came falling down on me like a wall of bricks, I know it was wrong now, I pray to God for forgiveness now and hope I am not tempted any more, to this very day but Im on so much medication now, it is a blessing to have been clean for 4 years not that I dont see some one that I have a fancy to but now I reailize it is a moment of feeling but my mind reminds me of the past and the people that iv'e hurt,and the people that hurt me. It is the same thing as Alcohol & Drugs and my compulsions for sex, gambling you name it ,but I take it a day at a time because ,I am only a step away from, Jails , Insitutions , or Death . The reason I am here today is to help other people only if they ask, I can't help someone that does not want help. This is the only reason that im here on earth to do now,because iv'e been there and who better to help some one is a person that has been were people are today, I don't only help them but it helps myself as well, the increase of all above is so much, we need more people in recovery to help others, I don't mean to go on so much, but if im able to help 1 person not to die, of addiction , I woud be humbled to my higher power.

does anyone know where this 7 deadly sins idea came from. It sounds like some nonsense dreamt up by a theologian to boost his or her ego. I would not call pride a sin. Envy might be but hardly deadly, Anger can cause damage and is I suppose there for sinful. Avarice I would say is potentially a deadly sin as it can cause people to seek power which is the cause of many wars. Sloth maybe a minor sin. Gluttony you are just going to hurt yourself so not sinful. And lust is a natural condition which helps to continue the race so not a sin at all.

Envy caused me the most problems because it is the most destructive emotion, not to be confused with jealously ,
