I've notice that when i was drifting off to sleep that - from the time when u are drifting off to sleep to the point when u start falling into a deeper sleep your body suddenly jerks for a second, some people have described this as a falling feeling.

Why does the body do this or is it the soul or subconsious that is changing phases - maybe even astrally projecting?

A jerk upon awakening from a deep sleep is said to indicate a rapid landing at the end of astral projection; a jerk while you fall asleep may indicate a change of energetic phase (a change in your energetic system). I hope it helps.

Some feel it is an attempt to project astrally, and perhaps in realizing you are leaving your body, you get scared and jump back in. Others would say it is a physiological response of all of the muscles relaxing at once, then you pull back from it and suddenly tense up.... It happens to me from time to time, I am not sure exactly what causes it....

When that happens to me,I mean when I am drifting off to sleep,I feel as though I am going up into the air.

So I don't know about the falling sensation.

I used to do that too. But it would only happen in places where i feel I'm not suppose to be sleeping.
