Actually, Alies Is correct. By definition , it means lack of or lack of belief in religion.
Though there are a few people I would like to call out. LOL might as well it is a open forum and it will help people think about what they are typing here. EleventyActually, Alies Is correct. By definition , it means lack of or lack of belief in religion. Eleventy, there has been proof that the influence in faith has effected reality and how "we live." You probably had faith and did not even know it. Easy way of finding out, is if you take things for granted. One we all might share is when we turned on our computer, we probably all had faith that it would just turn on. If not, then it is what we call expected. If you expect something but have no faith, I hope you can figure it out. A. Mercer, you are very right. Though I am a very strong believer in science, I am also very inquisitive, therefor I ask, "How was the world created?" I have heard scientifical "suggestions," but no definite scientifical answer. For the person who thinks that doesn't know, I am a christian and I kinda agree with the statement. I am not very religous, infact I believe I sin more than I pray. I really like science. We have learned "science," isn't always correct. LOL. I could go on and on, but I won't. Just ask yourself this, "Is your weatherman always right?" Which is what leads to science being a discovery of a logical method of study. Oh, Plus the fact that there are many differnent types like, physical, earth, and human science just to name a few. All "discovered." Why do some of us have higher learning capabilities than others. It is because we are all different, by human science? Answer is up to you? If you think yes, then isn't human science a manmade discovery? That means it was already there, we just didn't know it?

That's not quite what they believe, if I'm not mistaken.
They don't claim to know exactly how (or if) all of existence began. They have never claimed that the Big Bang was "nothing that exploded and made the universe," as creationists assert.
In fact, atheism is a complete lack of faith in anything supernatural. Atheists often make conclusions based on evidence. People like the OP, on the other hand, tend to make a conclusion, and then ignore or shoehorn the evidence to support it.
Keep in mind that I'm not an atheist. But I understand the idea of allegory, and that the stories that my religion are built on were not meant to be taken as scientific or historic fact. They're fables, meant to teach lessons or explain things that weren't understood at the time they were created.
Maybe you should focus more on the lessons held in the books of your bible, rather than mocking others for relying on physical evidence instead of invisible gods.
After all, doesn't your bible say something to the effect of, "judge not, lest ye be judged"?

Boy are you confused. To be expected I guess. Atheists believe there is no God so I guess, in a stretch, that means no God, no way for God to create the Universe, hence it created itself.
However, the Universe did not create itself. Conditions were right and the phenomena referred to as the Big Band occurred, the Universe was born. Faith has nothing to do with it, there is observable and predictable evidence to support this.

Atheism is a lack of belief in any god or gods. No faith is necessary to have no belief.
If you didn't believe in the tooth fairy does that mean you have faith that it doesn't exist or that you simply do not believe in the tooth fairy? If you don't believe in the tooth fairy why not? Is it a matter of faith that you don't, Or is it that there is no evidence to believe so there is no reason to?
THINK!
And the Universe has always existed in one form or another. Nothing created it. It has always existed.

Get your nose out of the bible and into some non fiction reading.
YOU believe in something more complex than the universe that has always existed but can't accept that something as simple atom could not have been created

Atheists and theists are opposed in their belief of God. Other than that, each may share every other belief.
In math, greatest means nothing is greater. If Atheists have the greatest religion so do the theist.
Answer: If you believe your name "Jesus is Lord", then why are you not following Jesus teachings?

STRAWMAN ALERT!!!!
Atheism isn't a religion for the same reason bald isn't a hair color or off a tv channel. We simply don't believe in things without evidence. You actually believe what that idiot Hovind says? CSE ministries is dishonest and dumb. He thinks Dinosaurs and humans lived together. NEWS FLASH! The Flintstones wasn't a documentary.
