Not at all.....In fact, I have three of them.

I grew up with these dogs. I've studied the bully breeds extensively and have volunteered at the rescue center in my area. Because of that, I can separate truth from fiction in the media regarding these dogs. I know the breed, and I know that the majority of the so-called 'facts' media reports are false.

Bullies were culled mercilessly to avoid any human agression. You are no more likely to be bit by a well-bred well-raised bully than a Lab or a Golden.

That being said, there are so many people out there who own these dogs and haven't the first clue how to handle them. They use them as status symbols, and raise imbalanced animals, adding to the media bias.

So, no...bullies don't scare me. But I am frightened by any imbalanced improperly-raised dog.
Bad owners make bad dogs.

I am not scared of Pitt Bulls. Some people dont seem to get them memo..... Every single dog is different. Some pitt bulls can be agressive and some can be sweet and gentle and loving family pets. Bottom line is that no matter what you hear about breed its not true. For example some people say that People Who Own Chihuahuas are sissy's. SO NOT TRUE!!! I am very mad for that person that posted that and I am also mad at PARIS HILTON FOR GIVING THE CHIHUAHUA A BAD LABEL. I love to see pitt bulls on the streets with their owners having a jog or a walk. It doesnt make my blood run cold I get this nice warm feeling in my heart that this pitt bull has a nice owner and a nice home and isnt being tortued like half of the breed is!! Some people really need to think before they post questions and give answers about a certain breed before they judge them!
*~*BAN THE DEED....NOT THE BREED*~*

BLESSED1 I DID NOT POST A ANSWER ON THIS QUESTION BECAUSE YOU DID. IM REALLY SORRY I ANNOYED YOU. IM NOT GONNA ANNOY YOU AND I HOPE YOU WONT ANNOY ME. =)
PS: GOOD QUOTE!

I am somewhat of them in my area, but its because of the owners. People where I live think it is cool to train these breeds to fight. I even had a cousin who fight-trained his pit bulls and then intentionally set them loose on a neighbor he did not like. Some people let the dogs run loose on the streets, and about 6-8 times a year, people who are walking get attacked in my city.

I have two dogs that I try to walk everyday for exercise, but I have to be very aware of where we walk and pay attention to what types of dogs live where - a pit bull could easily kill my little terriers if he wanted to.

So, in my area, I am afraid of pit bulls and rotts because I know what types of people own them around here. I have a brother-in-law in another state who raises pit bulls and he is very dedicated and careful with his training and care of them - I am not afraid of his dogs when we visit.

No. I am not afraid of dogs in general. I own an APBT and put my first two dogs through obedience classes with a trainer that owned Am-Staff's and had them on site with her during her classes.
Exposure to these types of breeds is the reason I adore them. They are affectionate, clownish, loyal dogs and usually easy to train. I have three rescues, all spayed females. The last one I got is an APBT whose litter was being discarded.
She was 2 1/2 wks old when I took her in to foster her and bottle feed her. No way I could give her up, she just plain grew on me! I am impressed with the breed and with other bully breeds because of they have personality PLUS!

I own 3 pitties:
Ajax- male, 2 1/2 years old
Chrysalis (SaySay)- female, 1 1/2 years old
Jasmine (Jazz)- female, 3 1/2 months old

These dogs are part of our family and the only problem we have with them is trying to find room on the couches!
They are well-trained, well-behaved and get along great with our 2 cats.
Milo- male, 1 1/2 years old
Izzy- female, 6 months old

Not at all...I've grown up with and have had APBT's my whole life (I currently have two). Bully breeds are great...I trust them more than any of the toy breeds I've met.

I also agree with some of the above answers...the only thing that scares me about bully breeds, or ANY dog, would be their owner. You never know who is responsible, who isn't, and what their intentions were when they chose that breed in the first place.

No because of people like you constantly trying to cause trouble for this breed makes them look bad.
They are extremely friendly, layal and devoted FAMILY dogs
I have been attacked by a German Shepherd and a Rottie but in both cases it wasn't the breed it was the jerk owners and in almost all casses of dog attacks it's the owner and not the dog so leave this breed alone.
It is people like you who make my blood run cold.

I am not afraid of Pits but I do not trust them at all. Too many irresponsible owners and in my opinion the Pits are not trustworthy even if trained well. I had what was supposed to be a very well trained and mild mannered Pit charge my Chow when she was 8months old and he was owned by the son of our dog trainer!!! Thank god my male Chow got in the first bite. Now that is not why I do not like Pits, it is just an example. However in saying that when she was about 1yr old I had a Golden Retriever come at her and again my male Chow saved the day. American Bulldogs, Boxers, Bulldogs, Staffordshire Terriers, Bull Terriers, etc. I am fine with, just keep the Pit out of my community.
