Why do drugs affect emotions?

the 'soul' is our stream of conciousness, and it is affected by physical reality

The soul becomes an integrated part of the physical body for a time. Anything happening to the body also happens to the soul. Changes in body chemicals affect changes in emotions in the body/mind (soul).

Emotions are a reaction to both physical and mental
stimuli. Ask anyone who ever had PMS! HeHe
The Will is a different matter and a greater
part of the soul.

Science advances, and more and more previously unexplained phenomena of the mind unravel themselves and are shown to have physical causes. This does not necessarily mean that we should rush to reduce every mental/spiritual phenomenon to nothing more than a physical effect. That is a common problem with newer scientific knowledge; it is not the end of the rainbow, merely another wavelength along the electromagnetic spectrum.

Excellent question, I don't believe that humans have souls, however, I do know that those who do believe humans have souls, don't like questions that make them question their belief system
