I bought some turkey sausage and was wondering if I can bake it in the oven? If yes, what temp and for how long please?
(I hate using the skillet because of the splatter and the mess.)
Thank you to all who respond!!

I think that you should , simply for the reasons that you mentioned. An oven temp of 350 always works .Start with about 12 minutes and see what happens .Your goal is for the thickest part of the sausage to be at 165degrees before removing from the oven. Oven baked sausages always have a brown stripe on them so you may want to move them periodically during the cooking process

How To Cook Turkey Sausage

Yes! How long? It depends on how much sausage that you are cooking. To bake 4 servings (4-6 pieces of sausage), just simply place in baking dish, add some water, cover with aluminum foil and bake on 350 degrees for about 20-30 minutes.

Yes. Just make the patties as usual and bake at 350 for about 30 minutes or so. Delish!

Try this recipe:

Italian Turkey Sausage

INGREDIENTS
1 pound lean ground turkey
2 teaspoons garlic powder
1 1/2 teaspoons fennel seed, crushed
1 1/2 teaspoons sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1/2 teaspoon pepper

DIRECTIONS
In a bowl, combine the turkey, garlic powder, fennel seed, sugar, salt, oregano and pepper. Cover and refrigerate for at least 8 hours or overnight. Shape into eight patties. Cook in a nonstick skillet coated with nonstick cooking spray for about 3 minutes on each side or until a meat thermometer reads 165 degrees F. Or crumble turkey into a nonstick skillet coated with nonstick cooking spray. Cook and stir for about 4 minutes or until meat is no longer pink.

You can also bake it!

Good luck!

If you're getting splatter and mess browning and cooking turkey sausage, you're probably cooking at too high a heat and using too much oil. It shouldn't splatter really. Lower the heat a bit, just use a few tblsp. of oil (or just a non stick spray) and cover the pan. That'll keep the moisture in and the splatter out.

But you don't say what kind of turkey sausage... Italian type, or breakfast. Breakfast sausage, I'd say "no" to the oven. Italian type turkey sausage, yes, at a350 deg., but spray the pan, or add a few tblsp. of olive oil, and watch it. It doesn't have to cook as long as any kind of pork sausage, so don't overcook. Maybe even add a little water to the pan. Just a little so it doesn't dry out.

Any sausage can be baked.
350-375 oven for 1/2 hour per pound.
