It looks like some kind of nice bread or rolls and salad. Sounds delightful.

Brown Bread, very New England. It comes in a can, always located on the top shelf. Make by S&S Foods I believe.
I know adding a dollop of sour cream to the blk bean soup is more Mexican, but I like that flavor combination.
Here's a recipe (Easy) that I would like as a side dish:
2 small cans Mandarin oranges (drained); 1 c. coconut; 1 c sour cream,; 1 c mini marshmellows.

Sour cream, spring onion, and cheese to top your black beans, some warm tortillas or crusty bread, a baked pork chop and lettuce wedge with thousand island dressing.

looks like everyone agrees that you need some sort of bread.
My vote would be either a good cornbread or crusty rolls/french.
Add a wonderful green salad and have fresh peach cobbler for dessert.
or
a waldorf salad (cut up apples, celery, nuts and raisins (opt. )some mayo, honey and cinnamon; mix together and enjoy)
and some brownies for dessert.
(I'd have the cornbread with honey butter with this combination--or even a delicious artisan type crusty bread--yum)
