Good Christians, like Jesus, can wave aside their tormentors and stay calm. Jesus didn't intimidate anyone nor was he intimidated. So, whoever 'you' of your question may be: can't you ignore them?

I too am a Christian, and in my opinion, most people are not afraid of Christians in general, but are afraid of the fundamentalists who try to force their opinions on everyone else. As a Christian, it disturbs me greatly when the right wing attempts to do things such as blame 9/11 on gay people, or blame natural disasters such as Katrina on the behavior of the residents of New Orleans. A majority of Christians are smart enough to realize that not every single little thing has to be about God. Unfortunately, the more vocal Christians right now are the ones who refuse to admit the following -
1. The Bible was not written by God. Inspired by perhaps, but written by man.
2. The books of the Bible were speaking to particular groups of people at particular times. Times are not the same as they were during Christ's lifetime or before his birth.
3. The Bible contradicts itself.(See the various versions of Mary at the empty tomb - was she alone, with another woman or with a group of women?)
4. Anyone can use snippets of the Bible to prove just about any point.
These Christians not only scare the "non-believers", but they also scare me, and they should scare other Christians as well.
My advice to you as a Christian is to lighten up. I happen to find a lot of religious humor very funny. Yes, some of it is mean spirited, and very often, those who have no faith tend to think that those who do must be unintelligent. Be strong enough in your faith to not worry about what others think.

Bush is in the White House trying to run one of the most powerful countries in the world according to his personal superstitions. He got put there by appealing to the large number of deluded twits that live in that country, (unfortunately).
Bush very obviously believes that the world is going to end soon and that trying to protect the environment would therefor be wasteful. Thus, he and his cronies are doing everything in their power to make as much money as possible by raping and destroying nature anywhere they can.
Bush wants to have christian religious groups run all the human services necessary in the country and he wants to have the government pay for it. He also wants the groups to be free to use this arrangement to convert people.
Bush has made it quite clear that he would prefer it if there were no non-christian religious groups in the US. He has even stated that he doesn't think some minority religious groups qualify as "real religions" and that they should not have the protections guaranteed to religions in the US.
The right wing fundamentalists have stated that they want to re-write the laws of the US and the US constitution according to their religious beliefs.
The fundamentalist christians put tons of republicans into office who then proceeded to loot and defraud the people of the US in many ways. More than half of them are still getting away with it.
The christians have repeatedly blocked the conduct of extremely promising medical research that could cure many of our most horrible diseases. They did this because they insist their bible tells them they have to. However, anyone who actually looks in their bible can see that no such command exists. Yet, despite the fact they are wrong both morally and theologically, they continue to perpetrate their anti-medical insanity.
Anyone in their right mind would be scared of christians.

High-on-yourself much?
I have never been, nor will I ever be, scared of you or any other person, regardless of religion. No one intimidates me, little girl. I have been to hell and back in my personal life and came through the other side a much stronger person.
Maybe you think by asking that question you feel a little less intimidated by something you do not understand.
I suggest you come down from atop your pedestal that you have placed yourself upon and join the rest of us in the sane world.

In my experience it has been Christians that have been intimidated by the IDEA that "Godless, Devil-Worshipping WITCHES and PAGANS" are allowed to practice our religions openly.
I have never felt the need to "poke fun" at Christians or send Christians rude personal messages because of the religion they practice.
Neither have I felt the need to use a bullhorn to preach my religion at Christians saying that the Christians would face eternal punishment unless they converted to Hellenic Polytheism. I have never told anyone they have a "demon" in them because they made their living in a way that my religion did not approve of. These last two things have happened to me PERSONALLY the other way around when I lived in New Orleans..... They made me angry, not afraid.....

Well think of this. If A pagan meeting hall in Texas is burned down it is no big deal, but if a few churches in Alabama get burned down it is a national disgrace. It seems that the christians like treat us as second class people.

If someone is gullible enough to believe in someone who is invisible has overwhelming evidence against him and who cares about something as insignificant as us. What else will they believe that people's sexuality is reason enough to kill them. That men are better than woman an should be put in there place. That there is an Armageddon coming in the next few years (2012) and that Christians should be actually helping this happen. What happens if you hear a voice in your head that tells you to kill someone? Do you have Schizophrenia or is it God? You might seek help but what about other people. I think there is plenty of reasons to be scared of Christians.

Christians don't scare me, it is their Pauline theology that keeps me wary.
I don't know if they tell you this at church, but it looks like Paul has homicide on his resume... and it appears that those gangsters did away with one of the best disciples... St. Stephen.
Pauline Gospel appears to me to be a lawless theology... "I do wrong thing and pass my punishment on to someone else"... That is irresponsible and Jesus did not preach that kind of law.
So it is not the Christians themselves, it is the theology and the source of that theology that has me wary.

Always be wary of a mob mentality. This includes you. Every time I see people jumping on to a band wagon, I also see their judgment go straight down the toilet. You identify yourself as us, but I want to know who you are?

christians don't intimidate me in the least bit, more or less I'm just annoyed by them with all the attempts to recruit people into their religion. I think people should be allowed to find their own path without religion being pushed in their faces like I have seen so many christians do. It's called free will, no one wants anything forced at them as I have seen most christians seem way to forceful... you know with the you will burn in hellfire, you will suffer enternal damnation and burn forever, you will suffer eternally if you do not join us now. Save your mortal souls.....LMAO

Maybe it's because many of you seem to want to usher in Armageddon. It's hard not to be afraid of a President who believes God tells him to go to war. This is only one of the reasons we speakout against Christianity so much.
