I want to leave everyone behind; my girl, my family, friends, everyone at the same time serve my country. I am truly tired of my environment at home and work and I need to take a hiatus. The only thing is I am almost 32 years old and that's too old (I think) to join the military.

What qualifications do I need to join the Navy?

You must be at least 18 years old (or 17 if you have your parents’ permission) and no older than 34 years of age for most programs. The Navy Reserve can accept candidates up to 39 years old. You’ll need to meet the Navy’s physical fitness requirements and achieve qualifying scores on the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) evaluation.

Can't help you with the Air Force as I am not going to create a login to search the FAQs. Check out their recruiting site.

You can do it....go talk to a recruiter....before the war started the age was 35 and it may have gone up a little since then. You're fair game!
