dance is ok, you can do a lot of things with a friend. you can just tell him that you are not ready to have a relationship yet. tell him politely "there are many girls out there better than me, you will find someone great"

It doesnt matter if you dont like him, but still he is your friend. If he ask you to dance so what?Go ahead and dance with him coz if you said no you'll hurt him, besides nothings wrong with that! One more thing, as what you said he likes you, but you dont and you only treat him as a good friend talk to him and try to explain it to him in a very nice way okey, and if hes really your FRIEND he'll respect your decision, just be honest and tell him what you really feel about him okey?!You only have to choices anyways, stay away from him or keep him as your friend. What would you chose?!Remember friend will always be a friend, dont wait one day you'll look for him not knowing he's already gone.....

If you dont want to say no, then agree to go only on the premise of friends. Make that a sticking point that it is just as friends. Even if everytime its brought, reiterate friends.

If you let it be known its just as friends and nothing more then if he has a problem with it, he isnt a friend at all.

You have no choice, but it is best to address it early. Rejection sucks for both people its hard to reject someone and its almost as hard being the one to say no (for most that is). That being said treat it like a band aid the longer you take the more pain it will cause the faster the better, but always be gentle with his feelings.

No matter what you do pleae dont use cliches like "we can be friends" , "Its not you its me" or lie to him with excuses. AS fragile as the male ego is (and it is) we recover.

God you are selfish! You really believe that we fall for somebody who wants us a friend just because we like to be hurt! Are you sure you have not sent signals to attract the poor guy just for the sake of you being sure you CAN be loved and fallen for. Oh I dont believe I am actually answering this stupid question.

You can say that you will go to the dance with him..but just as friends. Tell him how much you love him as a friend and how dating could ruin your friendship. Tell him that by being friends you will gurantee that you will always be friends

let him know off top, that u have no attraction to him, other than as a good friend...there is nothing wrong w/ going to church dances as friends -as long as he knows up front that u arent interested in anything more

cant you dance w/ someone who's your friend??

anyway, tell him you like him as a friend, but you cant see yourself in a relationship with him.

plain and simple is the best way to put it.. no games or beating around the bush.

You can dance with him and keep it casual. If he makes a move then say something. Otherwise don't worry about what you think he feels.
