Yuca is aka cassava. My mom peeled it & grated it to make a Filipino cake w/ milk, flour & eggs. She may have added some coconut milk & vanilla.

It was very dense & sweet w/ a mild flavor. The closest thing would be rice pudding w/o cinnamon or nutmeg or a mild coconut ice cream.
