We ( speaking for other and I hope I do not offend ) have seen to many individuals throw there life away to a promise of a "new system" and we hope and pray that those who have been indoctrinated in the JW will see some glaring inconsistencies and take heed of some of their own doctrines "Beware false profits whose prophecies will be shown false"
The Watchtower and tract society has continued to contradict itself over the last 100 years and when challenged JW all recite the " when we discover something is wrong we change it" which itself is admirable however that precludes the ability to claim "what we say is the Truth"
It is the overwhelming evidence to the contrary of their teachings and the control they hold on their followers that causes me to fear not for their souls ( because I do believe that you are being deceived thus you will be welcomed into heaven ) but for your mortal lives, and for those of your children that I grieve.
This is why I believe the WT&TS are brainwashing cultists
"Many, both young and old, extol the importance of an academic education. Some experts even say that they “fully believe that you will never be able to find a [decent] job without a college degree.” Yet, there are a number of human needs that go beyond material achievements. For instance, does higher learning help you to be a good parent, mate, or friend? For that matter, people admired for their intellectual achievements may develop undesirable personality traits, fail in their family life, or even end up committing suicide."
Somebody please tell me how this is not fearmongering at core
Madame Grunty: hmm me-thinks you are confused .. you won't allow an ex Catholic bash your religion, however you will defend an organization who has claimed that the Pope is tantamount to the Anti-Christ
I find that odd and a little hard to believe .. unless .. your new “friends” haven’t brought out that little book yet “ BTW ask them for it .. “What the does the Bible really teach” they will have a copy. .. I strongly suggest you do some serious reading of the Bible on your own before you have anymore conversations with your “friends”

Except when someone tells you they HAVE done the research; they have been thinking; you STILL insist they are "blind".
"The reason why I speak against JW's is because was raised in it and was lied to and brainwashed my whole life. Many of you current JW's will deny this, but remember, this is my experience..."
Okay that's YOUR experience but why do you REJECT others experince that differs significantly from your's?
Brainwashed? Or were your parents just trying to raise you in a way they felt was the BEST way for you to grow up?
"I have seen the destruction that the doctrines do to their members first hand."
Destructive doctrines? Do you mean the scriptural practice of disfellowshipping unrepentant wrong doers?
Why do you reject clear Biblical teaching?
"Dont blindly accept and believe me or anyone else"
Well this is the first thing you stated that I can agree with.

Mindy, instead of posting an incoherent rant, in accordance which include your conception that: The Watchtower teaches the Bible; the Bible teaches the Watchtower; you're top; all of us else is faulty; you've cohesion; no one outdoors of your team (tribalism) can probable have cohesion....Please quit for a SEC... The word "heaven" would not' seem in Matt. 22:14; yet in case you favor to maintain in mind that sanctification is something we press into...you will locate that in 2Pet. a million:10-11. the entire crowd in heaven, that no one can volume..is in Rev. 7:9. enable's attempt slightly "cohesion" with holy scripture next time: and much a lot less of Watchtower disunity of the region of the throne that replaced into everyday in Rev. 4:2. Matthew 18:20~ "For the position 2 or 3 are accrued at the same time in my call, there am I interior the midst of them." The small team I meet with in a house are playing proper cohesion. My fellow posters to JW Q's also are unified in a unmarried element...you're are being deceived via a misinterpretation of what the Bible is quite affirming...and also you (all) want help via a exertions of affection. How's your team doing? God bless...

While I don't agree with the JW teachings, I also don't like when people "bash" others religious choices. The JW's are NOT a cult. They are simply a religion. I don't mind them coming to my door because they are out sharing what they feel is right. I just tell them, thank you, but I already have a religion that I belong to and I'm very happy. I agree with you when you say it is important to learn and research doctrine before you join a religion. But you also must go with the spirit, or what you feel inside to be true.

I do not speak against them at all, but I see others who do. I believe some people will speak against whoever doesn't agree with them.
I have known some JW who are really nice, honest people and I respect the way they live their lives.
I do not like how JW come to my door every week, even though I have made it clear I am not interested. I can see why some people are rude to them. They just won't stop.

The only problem I have with the JWs is that they knock on your door when you're busy, and often they won't take a polite hint that you're busy.
Other than that, I've known several in the workplace, and they're nice people.
But I strongly believe in freedom of religion, so they have the right to practice theirs, just like the rest of us have the right to practice ours!

Well Michael Jackson grew up as a Jehovah's Witness and he complained about it too but I don't think you should be speaking AGAINST them. Speak against parts of they're religion (not the whole thing, not all of it is bad) even though it will cause high irritation (believe me, I know, people speak out against my religion all the time and it gets frustrating but I have to put up with it) but maybe you should find out more about the religion before you bash it. Sorry if you feel that you were lied to and brainwashed but maybe you also don't know enough about the religion to see the positive side of it. I can't comment on that religion as I don't know enough about it.

I'm NOT one of Jehovah's Witnesses but I find JW's such a wonderful people. The reason why people speak against this religion is because out of their ignorance, prejudiced, and false rumors they've heard. I don't believe you were raised in that religion either. Well, can you tell me what congregation did you go to when you were young? I would not accept any ex-Catholic bashing my religion either. So same thing with all religions.

I don't speak against JWs as people (because they are decent, sincere folk), but I do speak out against those things their leaders teach that are a distortion of Scripture. Why? Because Christians have been exhorted from the 1st Century A.D. to 'Contend earnestly for the faith that was once for all delivered to the saints' (Jude verse 3). Therefore, any new teaching, additional to the gospel of those Christians back then, is false.
The JW teaching that only 144,000 people can hope to go to heaven, whilst other good JWs can hope to live forever on a paradise earth, is NEW. It did not emerge till the 1930s! They claim it is in the Bible, but only by inventing a new spin on a handful of verses - interpreting them a new way. My God did not give a partial gospel to the Apostles and those 1st century saints, reserving special knowledge of the rest of it till the 1930s! The Apostles and all Christians belong to 'one body [of Christ], and one Spirit, even as you are called in one hope of your calling, one Lord, one faith, one baptism' (Eph 4:4). JW leaders have created TWO parts to Christ's symbolic body, two hopes, two callings. This is a heretical teaching that actively prevents millions of sincere people from entering into the Kingdom of God. Someone has to expose it - in love!

Above, you have said: "Don't take my word for it read for yourself. Don't blindly accept and believe me or anyone else. Learn, research and think for yourself!!!"
Why is it that those who leave insist that those who remain are blind, and brainwashed? If now, you have read, researched and thought for yourself, why is it out of the realm of possibility that those who remain have not already done that? Why do so many insist that those who are Jehovah's Witnesses are brainwashed while everybody else is not? What you now believe –you accept as truth, yes? Because you have read, yes? Because you have studied, yes? Because you have researched, yes? Why, then, is it not possible that Jehovah's Witnesses who remain have not done the same? Why is it that the subjective definition of brainwashed is "Jehovah's Witnesses" and the subjective definition of enlightened and knowledgeable is everybody else?
If you have left and you are now happy, satisfied and content, that is a good thing. What is it, though, which compels you to repeatedly return to Jehovah's Witnesses? We are content. Therefore, since you are so convinced of the 'destruction which comes from them and their doctrines', since you feel they are so dangerous, shouldn't you be running the other way - for dear life?
