Wow, Annie, thanks! I was not aware of that. I used to give Greenies to my dogs all the time, but haven't in about 6 months. I will not be giving them anymore - EVER.

They (and I) are lucky nothing happened to them.

Unfortunately, yes I do know about this lawsuit (it is old news). We had to surgically remove 4 Greenie's which caused obstruction to the gut in four of our patients over the last 3 years.

Apparently Greenie's came out with a new formula which is easier for dogs to digest, however, I would wait until they are on the market for a few years before I would ever deem them safe.

Um- that is old as far as I know.

There were problems with greenies and they were reformulated and are now supposed to dissolve much easier- try soaking one in a cup of water overnight.

Because of all the press around greenies though I use IAMS dental chews- my dog loves them .

Yes, I'd heard about the lawsuit and also heard from some of my other lists that Greenies aren't safe. Since I've never given them to my dogs I hadn't given it much thought. Thanks for the info.

Hadn't heard about the suit, but I had stopped giving them to my mastiff....precisely because he would practically swallow them whole....silly dog, eats his food like a snail- about 4 little kibbles at a time, but I would give him one of those (largest size they make) and it would disappear in under a minute, I figured he had to be swallowing it whole, or nearly whole- although he never had any problem, I've been through the intestinal obstruction thing with another dog, don't care to go there again.

I accept as true with you, serving a reformatory sentence may be their punishment, yet what with regard to the sufferer? he's then rewarded by utilising being allowed to pass out and collectively as out for the day buys a lottery value ticket - yet remains under punishment. merely because of the fact he served a reformatory sentence does not propose that under his replaced circumstances, he should not be made to pay reimbursement to the sufferer. i like your theory approximately promoting possessions with the intention to pay reimbursement, and that the reimbursement must be suitable to the crime - yet rape is a severe crime and hence the quantity grew to become into presented. reformatory is a gentle decision, you are able to't say he's paid his debt by utilising being despatched there from now on. consistent with probability confusing labour for those no longer able to compensate the sufferer for his or her crimes?

I don't know what they do for her breath, but in addition to natural bones and Bully Sticks I use Booda Velvets as chews. They last fairly long and dissolve easily- they're made of cornstarch.

Thanks for the info! I've never fed them to any of my animals because of things I heard in the past but I was just recently wondering if they've changed them. Guess not!
