Its both free Will and destiny. Meaning God give you the free Will to do what you think is best for you but God has plan for you also and only you can figure out the combination of your free will and destiny.

I am certain God does not plan my life, as I don't believe in him. And as yet, I have never had a moment where I've thought "I'm meant to do this" and part of me doesn't like the idea that I can't control my life. Having said that, I had a star chart done recently and an awful lot of it was extremely accurate. Not generic stuff, but little traits that I have. So maybe Fate does have a hand somewhere.
