I am 20 years old and for the last two years have gotten a pain on my right Pelvic region. The pain usually occurs when I put weight on it or do physical activity, it feels like it is sticking. I also developed this strange red rash over the area, it doesn't itch or hurt it is just there? Also I went to the hospital for lower abdominal pain that got worse every time I had a bowel movement and they did MRI's and and ultrasound of my ovaries and didn't find anything. Yesterday I went to the doctor for severe pain when I urinated and they told me I had an infection, also he felt over my pelvic region and told me that it felt like I had an inflamed muscle, but he wasn't sure how to treat it, "just stretch I guess". Like I said I have had this problem for 2 years!! Around the time of my menstrual cycle every couple of months I start having problems. Also I have been getting lots of headaches lately. So I am wondering should I go to another doctor? And if I do I would like to have...

I don't have an answer for you but due to the other respondent I felt like I should say this is not pregnancy symptoms for anyone else who might read their response. A pregnancy only lasts 9 months, not two years.

Hmmm thinking about your question further though I wonder if it might be a tear - a hernia in the muscle. The rash is worriesome though if it's in the exact same location, my first thought is to be checked to see if there's a cancer. It's also possible it could be a parasitic infection. the headaches could be related to the same condition, they could be related to something you eat or drink or it could be something entirely different. Whatever it is, it isn't normal and you do need to see another doctor and get a complete physical. Sometimes seemingly unrelated symptoms are related to something that's not common. I'd also consider tick bite/lyme disease - the initial bite can show up much later as a rash. Or maybe if it is a hernia you have some bleeding in the internal tissues? I'm stumped to tell the truth. See a new doctor and explain all your symptoms. Sometimes wating for a long period of time can cause something to worsen that could have been treated if caught early. I'm not a doctor so I can't do any better than help you make guesses.

Oh lordy... you are not pregnant. That first answerer is wrong. I have a similar problem...undiagnosed pelvic pain. The docs have told me its all in my head, that its my weight, that its an STD, or another infection. They GUESS. But when the tests come back or the pain doesnt go away, they just guess something else and hurry out the room.

Lets face it, pelvic pain is not going to bring the same insurance payout as cancer or a pregnancy so a lot of doctors hurry you out so they can get to someone else. Hell, my docs wouldnt even do an ultrasound. What I could suggest is a few things, see a gastroenterologist or find someone who will screen you for something like Endometriosis. There are a number of illnesses that present with pelvic pain but it takes trouble to diagnose it. Im thinking with the pain, strange bowel movements and the rash, it could be liver, kidney or another digestive organ problem. But...it could be a number of things. Just keep trying to get answers and yes, go to another doctor. Finally someone will sit up and take notice! Dont take an "I dont know" for an answer....someone will know!!

Good luck

Sweetie, the doctor is supposed to tell YOU what is wrong. Do not settle for "just stretch, I guess". If that's really what the doctor said, better get another doctor. Think of what he's making per hour...

I would certainly call your doctor if you do not go to the er. Lower back pain is a sign of labor. I hope everything goes well for you!
